About The Position

Recovery Works NW is a family-owned community organization dedicated to addressing substance use and mental health-related distress through innovative, judgement-free, and compassionate solutions. We emphasize an interdisciplinary approach to treatment, building therapeutic alliances, incorporating lived-experience perspectives, and fostering collaboration with community partners. This role involves individualized patient care with an emphasis on harm reduction, and will be based at our Portland Office. The position offers an expansive Sublocade Program in addition to all other forms of MAT, and provides support from front/back office staff, dedicated medical assistants, recovery peers, and a full behavioral health department. Internal access to a full continuum of care, including referrals to our detox clinic, is available. We foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Requirements

  • Active state license with prescriptive privileges (required).
  • Experience in Addiction Medicine/MAT (required).
  • Experience prescribing buprenorphine: 1 year (Required).
  • Must pass an OHA Background check.
  • Must successfully complete a urine analysis (UA) after accepting job offer.

Nice To Haves

  • Sublocade injection experience: 1 year (Preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Provide medical care within the scope of practice for an Addiction Medicine Provider (NP, PA).
  • Administer and manage MAT, including Sublocade injections and buprenorphine prescribing.
  • Engage in individualized patient care with an emphasis on harm reduction.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including front/back office staff, medical assistants, recovery peers, and the behavioral health department.
  • Refer patients to the full continuum of care, including the detox clinic, as needed.
  • Maintain active state license with prescriptive privileges.
  • Pass an OHA Background check and complete a urine analysis (UA) upon job offer acceptance.
