About The Position

This is an excellent opportunity to join Amazon's world class Database focused technical team in Herndon, VA, working with some of the best and brightest engineers and technical managers while also developing your skills and furthering your career within one of the most innovative and progressive technology companies anywhere. A successful engineer joining the team will do much more than write code and triage problems. You will work with Amazon's largest and most demanding customers to address specific needs across a full suite of services. You will dive deep into technical issues and work diligently to improve the customer experience. By working together on behalf of our customers, we are building the future one innovative product, service, and idea at a time. This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance. The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.

Requirements

• High school or equivalent diploma, or A+ or CND (Certified Network Defender) or Network+ or Security+
• 1+ years Linux systems administration experience
• 1+ years technical troubleshooting / support experience
• 1+ years of networking experience
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above

Nice To Haves

• 1+ years of cloud computing technologies experience
• 1+ years of computer networking experience, or experience in networking
• 1+ years of support procedures and methodologies for production computing environments experience
• Experience debugging, diagnosing, and troubleshooting complex, production software issues
• Experience using data, reporting, or tools to measure performance and make adjustments accordingly
