About The Position

Ampersand Therapy is hiring an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year in the Maywood, IL area. We’re seeking passionate and collaborative professionals who are excited to make a meaningful impact in the school-based setting. This role involves providing Adapted Physical Education services, creating inclusive lessons, implementing IEP goals, partnering with teachers and families, and maintaining documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Physical Education or related field
• Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Adaptive Physical Education Endorsement

Nice To Haves

• Experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide Adapted Physical Education services in the school setting
• Create inclusive and interactive lessons and activities for students
• Implement IEP goals and therapy plans
• Partner with teachers and families to support carryover of skills
• Maintain timely documentation, progress notes, and compliance records
• Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
