Admitted to the State Bar of Texas (Required)

Doctorate (Required)
Ability to commute/relocate: Houston, TX 77008: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Willingness to travel: 25% (Required)

Responsibilities

Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, notices, and judgments
Conduct legal research and analyze issues, including chains of title and tax matters
Prepare for dockets and represent clients in court appearances in Harris and surrounding counties
Collaborate with staff on collection and litigation activities
Communicate with clients, taxpayers, and opposing counsel
Participate in business development, including networking events and statewide conferences
Effectively manage a large caseload
Identify and analyze complex issues
Provide research that is thorough and responsive to issue at hand
Write in an organized, clear, and concise manner
Work in a supervisory position
