Our Houston office is seeking a reliable and energetic associate attorney licensed to practice in Texas. Requirements

  • Admitted to the State Bar of Texas (Required)
  • Organized and completes work timely and accurately

  • 0-2 years of legal experience preferred
  • Admitted to the State Bar of Texas
  • Doctorate (Required)
  • Ability to commute/relocate: Houston, TX 77008: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
  • Willingness to travel: 25% (Required)

Responsibilities

  • Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, notices, and judgments
  • Conduct legal research and analyze issues, including chains of title and tax matters
  • Prepare for dockets and represent clients in court appearances in Harris and surrounding counties
  • Collaborate with staff on collection and litigation activities
  • Communicate with clients, taxpayers, and opposing counsel
  • Participate in business development, including networking events and statewide conferences
  • Effectively manage a large caseload
  • Identify and analyze complex issues
  • Provide research that is thorough and responsive to issue at hand
  • Write in an organized, clear, and concise manner
  • Work in a supervisory position
