About The Position

As a Registered Nurse, deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with departmental requirements and applicable state and specialty standards of practice. Collaborate with medical providers and the care team to provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” Advocate for patients, families, and caregivers while embodying the organization’s mission and values to support a positive patient experience and clinical outcomes. The role is at TriStar Centennial Medical Center, a comprehensive medical and surgical facility affiliated with TriStar Health.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN).
• Associate degree, bachelor’s degree, or registered nurse diploma.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Nice To Haves

• One year of acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients on admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting changes in condition.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, and other functions as ordered by medical providers, and document care administration thoroughly and promptly in the patient medical record.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic responses, and take appropriate action in response to unintended medication effects.
• Respond promptly to patient requests, anticipate patient needs, and address them.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, translating complex medical terminology to support understanding.
• Collaborate with medical providers and the care team to deliver personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care.
• Advocate for patients, families, and caregivers.
