About The Position

Americo Life Insurance’s 2027 Summer Internship is a 10–12 week program running from June through August 2027, with the exact duration varying by position. The intern provides actuarial support while gaining working knowledge of actuarial and company systems. The program includes business projects, mentoring, leadership development, team-building activities, and opportunities to build skills and network with professionals and other interns.

Requirements

• Be currently pursuing a degree and remain fully enrolled in the program during the internship.
• Have passed or plan to sit for Society of Actuaries (SOA) exams.
• Be able to begin the internship in June 2027.
• Have junior- through senior-level standing at a four-year institution and be pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
• Be able to work full-time, 40 hours per week.
• Demonstrate interest and commitment to the actuarial profession.
• Have a high level of energy, enthusiasm, and professionalism.
• Have strong communication skills and a passion for working with others.
• Have experience working in Microsoft Excel.
• Have analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual-thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Collect and clean data needed to support the actuarial department.
• Provide calculations to support model development.
• Provide general actuarial support to the supervisor and other functional areas.
