Summer 2027 Actuarial Intern
About The Position
Actuarial interns gain a robust corporate experience, working closely with their manager and as an integral member of their assigned team. They perform actuarial tasks of a mathematical and/or higher clerical nature, compile and categorize data, and document and verify factors used in computations. These computations may support evaluating loss and expense reserves, preparing rate filings, schedules of statistics and financial statements, calculating premiums and benefits, and establishing rating and pricing levels. Interns may also work on other duties and projects as assigned.
Nice To Haves
- Be an undergraduate or graduate student with an anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or later, pursuing a degree in a field such as Data Analytics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Risk Management, or Computer Science, with a GPA of 3.2 or above.
- Technical experience with Microsoft Excel and Visual Basic, Microsoft Access and SQL, or Python.
- Knowledge of finance, the insurance industry, investment, or actuarial fields.
- Understanding of insurance products and operations.
- Detail orientation and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
