About The Position

This is a 10-week full-time corporate internship opportunity at CVS Health, designed for students pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree with an anticipated graduation date between September 2027 and August 2030. The program offers real work experience within the Actuarial organization, focusing on risk management, pricing, reserving, forecasting, and data analytics. Interns will participate in projects that contribute to business success, community service activities, professional development workshops, mentorship, and networking opportunities with senior leaders. The program aims to provide valuable work experience and offers a strong likelihood for interns to be considered for future full-time roles post-graduation. The internship is a hybrid position, requiring 3 days a week in the Hartford, CT office and 2 days remote. Intern housing is provided. The Actuarial organization supports business leaders with critical thought partnership and accountability for business results, focusing on managing risk. As an Actuary within Aetna, a CVS Health company, interns will leverage analytical skills, business knowledge, and understanding of human behavior to support activities related to pricing, reserving, forecasting, data analytics, competitive intelligence, healthcare trend analytics, and tracking business results. Examples of past internship projects include assignments in Commercial Business, Government Businesses & Medical Economics, and limited non-traditional Actuarial assignments.

Requirements

  • Be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
  • Have an anticipated graduation date between September 2027 and August 2030
  • Have a major, minor or concentration relevant to the position. Examples include: Actuarial Science, Analytics, Data Science, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Risk Management, Statistics, or other related degree
  • Meet educational requirements
  • Have a willingness to relocate if needed
  • Have an interest in pursuing an Actuarial career
