This position is in Jacksonville, FL Summer 2027 for 11 weeks Intern housing is provided near the St. Johns Town Center and less than 10 miles from the beach!

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student and not graduating before the Fall 2027 semester
  • Cumulative 3.0 or better GPA
  • Basic PC skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous project experience or health care related work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and the ability to collaborate with others
  • Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. SAS, SQL, VBA, etc.)
  • Time management
  • Cumulative 3.2 or better GPA
  • Detail-oriented

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and analyses that directly inform strategic decisions and drive meaningful outcomes across Florida Blue departments
  • Gain insight into the full spectrum of actuarial work and see firsthand how your contributions directly impact the health and well-being of our members
  • Work closely with an assigned manager who provides guidance and support as you navigate a dynamic environment
  • Connect with colleagues across actuarial teams to broaden your understanding of the department and profession
  • Gain valuable presentation experience by presenting your summer project and findings to the entire actuarial department
