About The Position

The Actuarial Analyst will join Berkley Healthcare’s Actuarial/Data/Analytics team and support pricing for several key lines of business, including medical malpractice, financial lines, and commercial auto. The role may also contribute to reserving, analytics, and other non-pricing projects as they arise. The team is collaborative and flexible in its duties, offering opportunities for multidimensional career growth. The successful candidate is eager to learn and work hard in a fast-paced environment. The position is located in Missouri.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience working in property/casualty insurance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, SQL, and Visual Basic.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Willingness and ability to continuously learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial sciences preferred.
• Successful completion of 3 or more actuarial exams preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and upgrade pricing models as needed.
• Review and update actuarial assumptions underlying pricing models.
• Improve data collection and management supporting pricing.
• Work with underwriting on account-specific and aggregate pricing issues.
• Enhance underwriting support tools, including metrics and dashboards.
• Contribute to reserving, analytics, and other non-pricing projects as they arise.
