About The Position

La Colonia Wellness Center is seeking an Activity Coordinator to lead and support recreational activities and social engagement events while helping keep the Wellness Center orderly. The role involves collaborating with the Wellness Center Supervisor, assisting with event setup, interacting with patients, distributing snacks, and carrying out cleaning and sanitation duties. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least six months of related experience.
Ability to perform job duties involving lifting, repeated bending and twisting, and standing for extended periods.
Ability to work with computers and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Fluency in spoken and written English and Spanish.
Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills to provide a pleasant patient experience.
Must pass a drug test and background screening.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Wellness Center Supervisor to plan, implement, and facilitate social and recreational programs at the Center.
Assist with setting up rooms for recreational activities and social engagement events.
Sweep, remove debris, clean spills, and mop floors throughout the Center and seating area.
Coordinate the distribution of snacks to patients.
Maintain rapport with patients to gather feedback and improve planning, facilitation, and participation in programs and events.
Regularly check, empty, and clean trash receptacles throughout the Center as needed.
Operate and sanitize equipment safely and properly.
Follow applicable health and sanitation procedures and safe work practices.
Perform other duties as assigned.
