About The Position

The Activity Coordinator is part of the Life Enrichment department at Bishop Spencer Place and works with retired and assisted living residents. The role assists with planning, organizing, developing, implementing, evaluating, and facilitating community activity programs in accordance with applicable standards, guidelines, and community policies and procedures. Activities are intended to meet each resident’s physical, mental, and psychosocial needs. The position is PRN, with an expected eight hours every Saturday and additional days as needed.

Requirements

• Applicable experience: less than 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the community’s activity programs.
• Interview residents or family members to obtain activity-related information.
• Complete administrative requirements, including necessary assessments, forms, and reports.
• Order, maintain, and organize equipment and supplies for activities and related events.
• Help develop and maintain an activity schedule.
• Maintain awareness of each resident’s care plan when planning and providing daily activities.
• Facilitate a wide variety of activities to meet residents’ physical, mental, and psychosocial needs.
• Ensure resident participation and satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
