About The Position

The Activity Coordinator is part of the Life Enrichment department at Bishop Spencer Place. The role assists in planning, organizing, developing, and facilitating activity programs in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and community policies and procedures. The goal is to provide an ongoing program that meets each resident’s physical, mental, and psychosocial needs.

This is a PRN position requiring 8 hours every Saturday and additional days as needed.

Requirements

• Applicable experience: less than 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the community’s activity programs.
• Interview residents or family members to obtain activity information.
• Complete administrative requirements, including necessary assessments, forms, and reports.
• Order, maintain, and organize equipment and supplies used for activities and related events.
• Help develop and maintain an activity schedule.
• Remain aware of each resident’s care plan when planning and providing daily activities.
• Facilitate a variety of activities to meet residents’ physical, mental, and psychosocial needs, and support resident participation and satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
