About The Position

The Activities & Volunteer Coordinator leads resident engagement, volunteer services, concierge operations, and customer experience programs at Sunrise Senior Living. The role creates meaningful connections and supports resident and family satisfaction, quality of life, purpose, and well-being. The coordinator oversees activities, entertainment, and wellness programming across all neighborhoods, including memory care, while supporting operational planning and ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and Sunrise quality standards.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in senior living, hospitality, recreation, or volunteer management.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong organizational, communication, and event-planning skills.
• Sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for creating meaningful resident experiences.
• Valid driver's license, if required.

• Experience with volunteer or engagement technology and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate resident-centered engagement programs and events.
• Oversee activities, entertainment, and wellness programming across all neighborhoods, including memory care.
• Supervise team members, volunteers, and concierge staff.
• Recruit, onboard, train, and retain volunteers, and build community partnerships.
• Track participation, satisfaction, and engagement metrics to improve programming.
• Manage engagement documentation, calendars, reporting, and technology platforms.
• Lead concierge operations and deliver exceptional experiences for residents, families, and visitors.
• Support budgeting, staffing, scheduling, and operational planning.
• Partner with Sales and Resident Care on move-ins and ongoing engagement.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and Sunrise quality standards.
