About The Position

The Country Club at Wakefield Plantation, a McConnell Golf property, is seeking an Activities Leader to provide guest service and help organize activities and events for members. The role involves working with children, supporting summer camps, parties and special events, assisting with front desk operations, and helping operate the club’s 9-hole golf course. The position requires patience, energy, passion, and the ability to work well as part of a team and independently. Weekend and evening availability is needed.

Requirements

Desire and ability to work well independently.
Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain it.
Ability to respond effectively to feedback and suggestions to continuously improve services provided to members.
Availability to work weekends and evenings.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a child or youth setting and/or guest service is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Lead and help run summer camps, parties, and special events.
Monitor and work the front desk, checking members into the fitness center, pool, and 9-hole golf course.
Help set up and tear down for parties, camps, and special events.
Help run activities for family functions, including Memorial Day, Christmas programming, and Easter events.
Work closely with the team to run well-organized and memorable events for members.
Provide great guest service to members at all times.
Work with children while observing rules, policies, and procedures.
Help operate the 9-hole golf course by checking members in, cleaning carts, and riding the course.
Show patience, energy, and passion while working at events and camps.
Work open hours, including weekends and evenings.
Follow front desk operating guidelines and enforce policies and procedures.
