About The Position

The Country Club at Wakefield Plantation, a McConnell Golf property, is seeking an Activities Leader to join its team. The role involves supporting camps, parties, special events, and family programming while providing excellent service to club members. The Activities Leader also monitors the front desk and helps operate the club’s fitness center, pool, and 9-hole golf course. The position calls for someone who enjoys working with children and can balance an energetic, welcoming approach with consistent enforcement of rules and procedures. Open availability to work weekends and evenings is required.

Requirements

• Desire and ability to work well independently.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain it.
• Ability to respond effectively to feedback and suggestions to continuously improve services to members.
• Availability to work weekends and evenings.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a child or youth setting and/or guest service is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and help run summer camps, parties, and special events.
• Monitor and staff the front desk, including checking members into the fitness center, pool, and 9-hole golf course.
• Assist with setup and teardown for parties, camps, and special events.
• Help run activities for family events, including Memorial Day, Christmas programming, and Easter events.
• Work closely with the team to deliver organized, memorable events for members.
• Provide excellent guest service to club members.
• Work with children while following rules, policies, and procedures.
• Help operate the 9-hole golf course by checking members in, cleaning carts, and riding the course.
• Bring patience, energy, and passion to events and camps.
• Follow front desk operating guidelines and enforce policies and procedures.
