About The Position

Fellowship Square is seeking an Independent Living Activities Director to enrich residents’ lives through engaging, purposeful, and joyful programs. The Activities Director designs and oversees social, educational, and recreational programming that supports residents’ cognitive, physical, and emotional well-being. The role leads support staff, volunteers, and drivers and collaborates closely with Memory Support Engagement Coordinators.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience working with senior activities.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
Compassionate, energetic, and self-directed.
Able to use basic design or word processing software for newsletters and calendars.
Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive company vehicles as needed.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree; experience in senior care may substitute.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate activity programs for Assisted Living residents, including transportation for off-site events.
Prepare resident activity assessments and tailor programs to residents’ interests.
Supervise activities support staff, drivers, and volunteers.
Design monthly newsletters and calendars for Assisted Living and Memory Support.
Plan and promote community events, seminars, and special celebrations.
Ensure the safe and efficient use of spaces, equipment, and transportation.
Oversee the department budget and track expenditures.
Keep residents informed and engaged through posters, bulletin boards, and digital communications.
