About The Position

The Activities Director plans, organizes, and implements activity and leisure programs designed to meet residents’ social, spiritual, intellectual, emotional, educational, and physical needs and interests, in accordance with each resident’s comprehensive care plan. The role is at The Gardens at Park Pointe, part of Tutera Senior Living & Health Care, and is offered as a full-time position.

Requirements

A passion for working with seniors.
A flexible, fun, and energetic personality.
A bachelor’s degree in recreation therapy or a related area.
Must be licensed or registered nationally or by the state in which practicing.
At least one year of experience as an Activities Director in a long-term care, skilled nursing facility, assisted living, or memory care setting.
Two years of experience conducting social and recreational programs within the past five years, including at least one full-time year in a resident activities program in a health care setting.
Professional image in appearance and behavior.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Accreditation as a Certified Activities Director is preferred.
