About The Position

The Activities Director leads and implements Life Enrichment programs that bring joy, connection, and purpose to residents. The role organizes and oversees activities in line with resident needs, Trilogy service standards, and resident well-being. It calls for strong organizational skills, creative program planning, and a commitment to positively affecting the lives of seniors.

The position also manages and supports Life Enrichment Associates, evaluates program effectiveness, addresses activity-related resident concerns, promotes events and news to residents and families, and leads the volunteer program. The role is based at Aspen Place Health Campus in Greensburg, Indiana.

Requirements

• If providing transportation services, be at least 25 years old and have a valid driver’s license, pass a Motor Vehicle Record Search, and hold any certifications necessary for transportation services.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred credentials: CTRS, ADC, ACC, or CDP.
• A bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation.
• Certified Occupational Therapist or an Occupational Therapy license.
• Two or more years of relevant experience in an Activities Director role.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee a variety of Life Enrichment activities aligned with resident needs and Trilogy service standards.
• Create staff schedules and ensure Life Enrichment Associates complete tasks that meet residents’ needs and enhance their daily lives.
• Assess program effectiveness using feedback from residents, families, and the team, as well as survey results, and make improvements as needed.
• Address activity-related resident concerns promptly, within 24–48 hours, to support resident satisfaction and comfort.
• Develop and distribute newsletters, create social media posts, and promote upcoming events across multiple platforms to keep residents and families informed.
• Recruit, screen, train, supervise, and recognize volunteers to enhance program offerings.
