About The Position

Hickory Creek Connersville is seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and organized Activities Director to plan, develop, and implement recreational programs that enhance residents’ quality of life. The role calls for strong leadership, a passion for working with seniors, and the ability to create diverse and meaningful activities. The Activities Director helps create a comforting and engaging atmosphere, collaborates with nursing and other facility teams to support coordinated care, and contributes to a respectful, positive workplace. Candidates must meet the listed education and experience requirements and complete an approved Activities Director training program or hold a degree in recreational therapy, along with the specified nursing assistant training or competency evaluation. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of experience in a social or recreational program in a healthcare setting.
• Satisfactory completion of Activities Director training or a degree in recreational therapy.
• Successful completion of a state-approved nursing assistant training and competency evaluation program or a CNA competency evaluation program.
• Demonstrated compassion, accountability, relationship-building, and commitment to excellence.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
• Stamina, strength, and endurance to provide nursing services.
