About The Position

Everlasting Services is seeking a creative, energetic, compassionate Activities Coordinator to work alongside its Activities Team and create meaningful, engaging experiences for residents with a variety of physical, cognitive, and social abilities. The role involves leading activities and helping residents connect, try new things, and make lasting memories. Activities include creative projects, games, exercise, music, holiday celebrations, special events, and community outings. The coordinator adapts activities to residents’ interests, abilities, and individual needs, encourages participation, maintains activity plans and supplies, and documents participation and observations in accordance with individual care plans. The position is full-time, Tuesday through Saturday, with flexibility for holidays and special events.

Requirements

Current Arizona Caregiver Certification.
Memory Care Certification; must obtain within 30 days of hire.
Current two-step tuberculosis screening documentation meeting applicable Arizona requirements.
Valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Current First Aid and CPR certifications.
Current Food Handler Certification.
Valid Arizona driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Ability to successfully complete applicable background and registry screenings, including required DES/DAAS checks.
Experience in recreational activities, arts and crafts, or a similar setting.
Creativity, patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in helping others.
Ability to lead group activities, crafts, games, and events.
Patience and understanding when working with people with different abilities and needs.
Organization, dependability, and ability to manage multiple activities and schedules.
Teamwork and willingness to collaborate and contribute ideas.
Scheduling flexibility, including holidays and special events.

Responsibilities

Help plan and lead daily activities, games, crafts, exercise, music, and special events.
Develop fresh ideas to keep residents engaged, entertained, and connected.
Help decorate and plan holiday festivities, birthdays, and other special occasions.
Coordinate community outings, excursions, and enrichment opportunities.
Adapt activities to residents’ interests, abilities, and individual needs.
Assist with the activities calendar, supplies, reservations, and event planning while staying within budget.
Build relationships with residents and encourage them to participate and try new things.
Create a positive, welcoming environment that fosters laughter, encouragement, and meaningful connections.
Document resident participation and observations in accordance with individual care plans.
Explore volunteer opportunities and community partnerships that enrich residents’ lives.
