Under the administrative direction and supervision of Management, the role plans, develops, implements, and oversees recreational therapy services for program participants. This role is responsible for evaluating and implementing creative, individualized, and therapeutic activities for participants' care plans, conducting initial and scheduled reassessments, and training staff on new recreational therapy activities and programs. The position plans and offers varied monthly programs, utilizes group and individual interventions to maximize participants’ cognitive and functional abilities, and offers therapeutic activities daily for participants with special needs. The Activities Coordinator documents participant involvement, revises care plans as needed, actively participates in team discussions, and serves as a resource to staff and coordinates volunteer activities at the center. Performs other job duties as assigned.
