About The Position

Aviata Health Group is seeking an Activities Assistant for its resident- and family-focused community at Aviata at Arbor Springs in Ocala, Florida. The role supports the established plan for resident activities and recreation, helping create an engaging facility culture and improve residents’ quality of life. The position requires a current CNA license and a valid, unencumbered state driver’s license. The Activities Assistant works with the Community Life Director to organize and deliver recreational and social activities, encourage resident participation, and help expand services. The role also contributes ideas and supports improvements to systems and processes. The employer conducts background screenings through AHCA.

Requirements

Must have a current CNA license.
High school diploma or GED equivalent, at minimum.
Current, unencumbered, valid state driver’s license.
Must be qualified, compassionate, and dedicated to a job well done.

Nice To Haves

Some experience providing recreation services to residents in a health care setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with resident activities, assessments, and activities profiles.
Assist in scheduling movies, planning parties, and providing games and activities for residents.
Encourage residents to participate in recreational and social activities by engaging in and organizing games, crafts, religious services, parties, and other activities.
Assist the Community Life Director in expanding services.
Contribute innovative ideas and support the creation and implementation of concepts that improve systems and processes.
