Activities Assistant
About The Position
Avalon Care Center Bellingham is seeking an Activities Assistant to help residents live each day to the fullest. The role involves leading engaging activities, encouraging participation in group and one-on-one programs, and supporting residents' social, emotional, and mental well-being. The assistant works with the care team to create positive resident experiences and helps make the facility feel like home. This opportunity may also suit individuals who have completed CNA training and clinicals and are waiting for their CNA certification to become active. The facility has a specialized behavioral health program serving residents with complex medical and behavioral health needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule.
- Ability to pass required employment screenings.
Nice To Haves
- Completed CNA training and clinicals while awaiting active CNA certification.
