About The Position

Tranquillity, a Sonida Senior Living community in Frederick, Maryland, is a retirement community providing Assisted Living and Memory Care. The Activities Assistant supports residents’ independent recreation based on their individual preferences and helps ensure residents can make personal choices in accordance with their service plans. The role involves courteous interaction with residents, families, staff, and visitors, safeguarding residents from abuse, and attending required in-service education programs. The position requires working every other weekend. Compensation is $17–$19 per hour.

Responsibilities

Interact pleasantly, respectfully, and courteously with residents, families, staff, and other visitors.
Ensure residents are free from physical, verbal, and sexual abuse.
Support residents’ independent recreation based on individual preferences.
Ensure residents’ right to make personal choices in agreement with their service plans.
Attend all in-service education programs mandated by Sonida Senior Living and state and federal guidelines.
Work every other weekend.
