About The Position

The Activities Assistant at Sagewood at Daybreak provides exemplary service to residents by presenting classes and instruction, coordinating events, and assisting with transportation as needed. The role promotes resident participation in Wellness programs, facilitates group and individual activities, works with volunteers and community groups, and helps prepare Wellness and community events. The schedule is 9am–5pm, with some Saturdays required. Pay is $19.50–$20 per hour.

Requirements

• High school graduate.
• One to two years of experience in wellness programs, preferably with seniors.
• First Aid Certification.
• Bring a smile to work every day.
• Be a great team player.

Nice To Haves

• Experience leading exercise classes and assisting with exercise equipment.

Responsibilities

• Promote and monitor resident attendance and participation in all Wellness programs.
• Teach and facilitate programs as appropriate.
• Implement a variety of group and individual Wellness programs.
• Work with volunteers and community groups to implement programs.
• Assist in setting up Wellness and community events.
• Assist with scheduling transportation as required.
