About The Position

The Activities Assistant supports residents’ quality of life by carrying out group and individual daily activities. In collaboration with the Activity Director, the assistant helps design and deliver programs and events that address residents’ social, mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual needs. The role also involves building positive relationships with residents, their families, staff, and the broader community served.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Support planning, scheduling, and delivery of quality activities in accordance with residents’ care plans.
Help the Activity Director design and execute programs and events that meet residents’ social, mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual needs.
Build and maintain positive relationships with residents and their families.
Prepare and distribute activity calendars and communication materials, and update activity and orientation boards.
Assist with special events, outings, birthdays, and anniversaries.
Encourage and motivate residents to participate in activities.
Provide leadership and support for volunteers.
Collaborate with departmental and community-based peers to create enthusiasm and deliver high-quality programming.
Maintain ethical standards and professional conduct consistent with Meridian Senior Living’s values.
