Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in activity planning, recreation, or a related role preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Creativity and enthusiasm for organizing engaging activities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Compassionate, patient, and attentive to the needs of diverse populations
Basic knowledge of safety procedures and ability to handle emergency situations
Ability to safely transport residents to appointments using the company vehicles

Nice To Haves

Additional certification in recreational therapy or related fields is a plus

Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and facilitate a variety of recreational and social activities tailored to the interests and needs of residents or clients
Assist in developing activity schedules and programs that promote social interaction, physical activity, and mental stimulation
Support residents or clients in participating in activities, providing encouragement and assistance as needed
Maintain a safe and welcoming environment during activities
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities, making adjustments to improve engagement
Collaborate with team members and family members to ensure activities align with individual preferences and care plans
Keep accurate records of activities and participation
