About The Position
The Atrium at Navesink Harbor, a Springpoint Senior Living facility in Red Bank, New Jersey, is seeking a highly energetic full-time Activities Aide. The role provides therapeutic activity programs for residents, supporting their needs through group and individual activities. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with every other weekend from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The pay rate is $18 per hour.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
Nice To Haves
- Certification from the National Council for Activity Professionals or the National Council of Therapeutic Recreation.
Responsibilities
- Assist in organizing, developing, and directing therapeutic activities for groups or individuals to meet residents’ needs.
- Assist the Director in planning, organizing, and implementing therapeutic activities.
- Prepare supplies, participant lists, and schedules for each activity.
- Escort residents to and from groups.
- Conduct group activities.
- Keep a daily record of the types and number of activities in which each resident participated.
- Attend scheduled educational offerings pertaining to Patient Activities and Resident Care.
- Assist with outings.
