About The Position
Meadow Lakes, a Springpoint Senior Living Community in East Windsor, New Jersey, is seeking part-time Activities Aides. The Activities Aide provides therapeutic activity programs to residents, supporting activities for groups and individuals and helping meet residents’ needs. The role includes a focus on Music and Memory.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Nice To Haves
- Certification from the National Council for Activity Professionals or the National Council of Therapeutic Recreation preferred.
- Two years of experience in a similar role preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist in organizing, developing, and directing therapeutic activities for groups or individuals to meet residents’ needs.
- Assist the Director in planning, organizing, and implementing therapeutic activities, with a focus on Music and Memory.
- Prepare supplies, participant lists, and schedules for each activity.
- Escort residents to and from groups.
- Conduct group activities.
- Keep a daily record of the types and number of activities in which each resident participated.
- Attend scheduled educational offerings related to Patient Activities and Resident Care.
- Assist with outings.
