About The Position

This is a 6-month contract position paid through a third party company. The role requires developing creative, proactive sourcing strategies, identifying and engaging with top professionals, conducting phone screens, and working alongside talent acquisition specialists. The position demands a safe, professional, and courteous demeanor, adherence to RCOC hours of operation, and regular, predictable onsite job attendance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Human Resources Development, Human Resource Administration, Education or related field.
• At least 5 years of full-time experience with active recruiting.
• Strong planning, organizational and written/verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Must possess and maintain a valid state of Michigan driver’s license.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in hiring union employees or engineers (civil).

Responsibilities

• Develop creative, proactive sourcing strategies utilizing advanced search methods, social media and professional networks.
• Identify and engage with top professionals who may not be actively looking for a job.
• Review potential leads and initiate phone calls to assess interest levels.
• Conduct phone screens to determine individual qualifications in relation with open positions.
• Work alongside talent acquisition specialist with panel interviews through the onboarding process.
• Perform duties in a safe, professional, and courteous manner to promote a positive image of the road commission for Oakland County.
• Maintain a daily schedule that supports RCOC hours of operation.
• Ensure regular and predictable onsite job attendance as an essential function of this position.
