About The Position

As a Lifestyle Coordinator, you’ll have the opportunity to directly and positively impact the health and well-being of Edgewater residents by finding purpose, passion and joy in ways that promote our culture of well-being. As a Lifestyle Coordinator, you will: Evaluate, develop, plan, implement, and assess programs that align with the community’s objectives and our Core 4 philosophies. Prepare and promote programs for residents in skilled nursing. Maintain cooperative relationships with residents, team members, and their families. Encourage resident participation in outdoor events, social gatherings, and religious activities. Participate in Program Planning meetings and assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating large campus-wide events. Build coalitions and utilize community and facility resources. Communicate health education and program information to the community, staff, and residents. Develop and use various educational methods and materials. Maintain educational bulletin boards, table tents, and flyers promoting wellbeing topics. Supervise residents during activities to ensure safety regulations and policies are followed.

Requirements

  • Four-year college degree in family services, therapeutic recreation, psychology or other related discipline.
  • Significant experience in a highly related role or organization may be substituted for the degree.
  • Demonstrate an energetic, hospitality-focused, and compassionate approach to working with individuals who are served by the community.
  • Must demonstrate necessary communication and relationship enhancing skills with individuals who may have physical, mental, and/or emotional challenges or limitations.
  • Must demonstrate a collaborative and team-based approach to their work.

Responsibilities
