About The Position

As a Lifestyle Coordinator, you’ll have the opportunity to directly and positively impact the health and well-being of Edgewater residents by finding purpose, passion and joy in ways that promote our culture of well-being.

Requirements

  • Four-year college degree in family services, therapeutic recreation, psychology or other related discipline. Significant experience in a highly related role or organization may be substituted for the degree.
  • Demonstrate an energetic, hospitality-focused, and compassionate approach to working with individuals who are served by the community.
  • Must demonstrate necessary communication and relationship enhancing skills with individuals who may have physical, mental, and/or emotional challenges or limitations.
  • Must demonstrate a collaborative and team-based approach to their work.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, develop, plan, implement, and assess programs that align with the community’s objectives and our Core 4 philosophies. Prepare and promote programs for residents in skilled nursing.
  • Maintain cooperative relationships with residents, team members, and their families.
  • Encourage resident participation in outdoor events, social gatherings, and religious activities.
  • Participate in Program Planning meetings and assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating large campus-wide events.
  • Build coalitions and utilize community and facility resources. Communicate health education and program information to the community, staff, and residents.
  • Develop and use various educational methods and materials. Maintain educational bulletin boards, table tents, and flyers promoting wellbeing topics.
  • Supervise residents during activities to ensure safety regulations and policies are followed.
