About The Position

Kendall Hunt Publishing is seeking a driven Acquisitions Sales Representative to join their team. This remote position involves interviewing professors, identifying business opportunities at colleges and universities, and persuading potential authors to partner with Kendall Hunt. The goal is to develop interactive and engaging educational materials that meet student needs and make a significant impact. The role requires approximately 7 weeks of overnight travel per semester. The ideal candidate will be located in Oklahoma (Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Norman or Edmond) or Texas (Plano or Garland).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
  • Takes initiative and works independently, demonstrating an entrepreneurial mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Interview professors and identify business potential.
  • Persuade select candidates to work with the company by partnering with experts in their field.
  • Call on and travel to different colleges and universities in the territory to identify business opportunities.
  • Interview professors and persuade author candidates.
  • Partner with talented educators in charge of lower-level, higher-enrollment courses to develop interactive and engaging materials.
  • Uncover new sales channels for current product lines or find new products to sell to current customers.
