The Acquisitions Manager at Great River Learning (GRL) is responsible for identifying business opportunities with colleges and universities, interviewing professors, and persuading potential author candidates to work with the company. The role involves competing with other companies to secure partnerships with talented educators for developing interactive and engaging course materials. If developed materials prove successful locally, there is potential for national marketing. This position is remote but requires eight weeks of overnight travel per semester to college campuses in Northern and Western Texas and Oklahoma. Travel occurs from late August through late November and again from January through late April, with travel starting on Sunday and concluding on Friday, involving campus visits and meetings with professors.
