This position is contingent upon contract award. The Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for developing Acquisition Requirement Packages and contract strategies, establishing contract milestones in coordination with the requiring activity and the Army Contracting Command (ACC), and participating in document writing during the Integrated Product Team process. The role involves participating in various milestone and programmatic reviews, acting as a liaison between PMs and ACC, and performing risk analysis on contracting milestones. Subject matter expertise in the impacts of new contracting regulations/guidance is required, as is the ability to initiate acquisition strategies and plans. The specialist will also be responsible for developing, maintaining, and tracking acquisition program baseline documents and initiating long-range plans and program accomplishments relating to program objectives, considering budgetary, schedule, or technical constraints. Knowledge of DoDI 5000.02 and acquisition streamlining reform initiatives is essential.
