This position is contingent upon contract award. The Security Specialist II will be responsible for interpreting and providing guidance on security policies, procedures, and regulations to program personnel. This role involves establishing, documenting, and implementing program security procedures and standard operating procedures. The specialist will manage all classified holdings, conduct reviews and inventories, and organize related materials. A key responsibility includes reviewing, developing, and tracking DD Form 254 forms, ensuring compliance with Operations Security (OPSEC) plans, and implementing OPSEC measures. The role also requires providing recommendations and ensuring compliance with Security Classification Guides (SCG) and offering Secure Internet Protocol Router (SIPR) security support. Additionally, the specialist will manage and participate in threat and vulnerability analysis/assessments, critical program information (CPI) assessments, and SCG developments. They will advise and represent the organization on matters related to the classification, downgrading, de-classification, and safeguarding of national security information. The position requires knowledge of and compliance with all applicable administrative and security requirements during assigned activities. The specialist will perform key custodian duties according to the program's key control plan and participate in security assistance for test events involving program systems.
