About The Position

The ACE Production Worker primarily works in the outside production area of AmeriGas’s Cylinder Exchange facility, processing 20-pound barbeque grill cylinders. The role supports safe, timely, and quality-focused production as part of a production team. The work area is not enclosed, so weather conditions such as wind, rain, ice, and snow may affect the job. The employee must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds. Applicants must be willing to complete a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check; hired employees are also subject to substance abuse testing under company policy.

Requirements

• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand and walk 8–12 hours per day; the posting also states the ability to stand 8–10 hours per day.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.
• Ability to obtain required state licensing.
• Ability to become forklift certified.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Willingness to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

• 1–2 years of manufacturing work experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sort, inspect, clean, paint, label, and refill empty cylinders.
• Maintain a safety focus and wear the proper personal protective equipment.
• Ensure consistent quality of cylinders being processed.
• Load filled cylinders onto trucks for the next day’s shipments.
• Perform general housekeeping duties.
