About The Position

Spectrum Science is seeking an ACD-Level Copywriter with experience in pharma advertising to join their agency team in a fully remote role. The ideal candidate will possess strong conceptual thinking, excellent writing skills, and a passion for simplifying complex scientific information into clear and engaging human-centered ideas. This position requires a blend of developing major concepts, maintaining brand voice consistency, and crafting omnichannel narratives for healthcare and pharmaceutical brands, covering campaigns, PR initiatives, and product launches. The role involves close collaboration with art directors, strategists, medical experts, and account teams to define the messaging and conceptual direction for significant healthcare brand projects, ensuring that the work is strategically sound, medically accurate, and creatively compelling. Strong communication skills are essential for this role.

Requirements

  • 7–10+ years of copywriting experience
  • At least 3–5 years in healthcare/pharma agencies or brand activation communications
  • Strong communications experience
  • Proven track record of developing breakthrough campaign ideas and writing that drives engagement and builds brand preference.
  • Strength in brand voice, messaging architecture, and omnichannel storytelling—from concept to launch and lifecycle.
  • Deep understanding of FDA, legal, and medical review (MLR) processes, with strong instincts for compliant creativity.
  • Ability to write across formats: headlines, HCP detail aid and MOA copy, video scripts, social, email/CRM, PR materials, and long-form content.
  • Excellent presentation skills—able to articulate creative ideas verbally and in writing, with strategic clarity.
  • Strong collaborator and mentor mindset; thrives in a fast-paced, idea-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead copy and concept development for integrated pharma and healthcare campaigns, from brand positioning to omnichannel execution.
  • Partner with creative leadership and cross-functional teams to develop big brand ideas and messaging platforms that connect with both HCPs and consumers.
  • Translate strategic insights and medical content into compelling stories—headline systems, narratives, scripts, and long-form copy—that push category boundaries while staying compliant.
  • Collaborate closely with art directors to ensure cohesion between message and visual expression across every touchpoint.
  • Write and refine copy across channels (digital, social, video, print, experiential, PR, email/CRM), adapting voice and structure to audience and context.
  • Present work confidently to internal stakeholders and clients, championing ideas with clear rationale and strategic storytelling.
  • Support production by reviewing scripts, storyboards, and layouts for accuracy, tone, and craft—ensuring fidelity to the idea through MLR, shoots, and final deliverables.
