About The Position

As Accounts Receivable, Billing, and Collections, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the organization's invoicing, payment processing, and customer account management. This role ensures accurate and timely collection of outstanding payments and maintains effective communication with customers to address billing inquiries or discrepancies.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 – 3 years of accounts receivable experience or similar role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), especially Excel.
• Proficient in Accounting software programs.
• Strong analytical and excellent problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (preferred)
• High School Diploma or general education diploma (GED) recommended.
• Willingness to work overtime, if needed.
• Good organization and business administration skills, attention to detail, and willingness to improve, learn and adapt in accordance with the modern practice methods are some of the other required skills.
• Manage time effectively, as they may need to handle multiple functions and meet deadlines consistently.
• Function independently with minimal supervision and should be self-motivated.
• Must be able to work in a team as well as independently

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute customer invoices in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Record and apply customers payments accurately using accounting systems.
• Verify invoices accuracy and reconcile billing information with customer portals
• Monitor daily cash receipts and ensure accurate posting.
• Process and reconcile payments received via check, ACH and Lock Box payments.
• Proactively follow up on outstanding accounts via email, phone, or customer portals.
• Negotiate payment arrangements with customers when necessary.
• Escalate delinquent accounts to management or external collections agencies, when appropriate.
• Reconcile customer accounts to resolve discrepancies.
• Investigate and resolve billing disputes, payment discrepancies and/or misapplied payments.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate and organized and confidential records of all customer communications and financial transactions.
• Adhere to all company GMP, Safety guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOP’s).
• Support additional projects and responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
