About The Position

We are partnering with a well-established company with over 100 years of history to hire an Accounts Receivable Specialist on a contract-to-hire basis. This organization has a strong track record of converting talent, and we have successfully placed multiple candidates there in recent years. This role is hybrid, starting with fully onsite training for about a month, then transitioning to the flexibility to work from home on Fridays. The opportunity is ideal for someone with strong tenure in full-cycle AR, including cash applications, collections, and account management. They’re seeking a detail-oriented, dependable professional who is comfortable working in a mix of modern and manual processes and can thrive in a structured AR environment.

Requirements

  • Experience in accounting, specifically in accounts receivable.
  • Proficiency in handling cash applications and accounts receivable processes.
  • Basic proficiency in Excel and general computer skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, stay focused, and manage repetitive tasks.
  • Excellent communication and follow-up skills.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in Accounts Receivable or a related field preferred.
  • Comfortable working with outdated systems and manual processes.
  • A strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Process and post incoming payments accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Manage client accounts across various platforms, including both digital portals and manual systems.
  • Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding invoices.
  • Handle credit and re-bill processes, including issuing adjustments and re-invoicing as needed.
  • Communicate with clients to resolve billing discrepancies or payment issues.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all AR transactions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure billing accuracy and resolve account issues.
