About The Position

Nelson Mullins, an AmLaw 100 law firm, is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our growing team in our Columbia, South Carolina office. This is a non‑collection, client‑service‑focused accounts receivable role supporting attorneys and clients while ensuring accuracy, responsiveness, and professionalism across financial processes. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work and enjoys contributing to a collaborative team environment As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you’ll play a meaningful role in supporting our attorneys and clients by ensuring financial matters are handled accurately, thoughtfully, and on time. Your day will include managing a variety of accounts receivable activities, from communicating with attorneys and clients to preparing clear, reliable reports. You’ll apply and reconcile cash receipts, process incoming payments, and maintain up‑to‑date records, all while helping keep our financial operations running smoothly. Throughout the day, you’ll collaborate with colleagues who value teamwork, attention to detail, and a shared commitment to exceptional client service. Requirements

  • At least five years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, with a specific focus on accounts receivable.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Organization, attention to detail, and professionalism are essential for success.
  • Team player with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn.
  • Proficiency in Excel is required.
  • Minimum of an associate degree in accounting or a related field from an accredited college or university.
