About The Position

RxAnte is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their team in Sterling, VA. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy of patient accounts and ensuring the smooth operation of the revenue cycle. The specialist will process payments, maintain records, and manage collections to support the financial health of Mosaic Pharmacy Service, a subsidiary focused on providing pharmacy and chronic care management services for medically complex seniors. This behind-the-scenes work allows pharmacists and care teams to focus on patient care.

Requirements

  • 2 or more years of experience in pharmacy billing, medical billing, or healthcare revenue cycle management.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance billing processes, including Medicare Part D, Medicaid, and commercial insurance.
  • Experience working with pharmacy management systems and billing software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without company-sponsored visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Virginia Pharmacy Technician license.

Responsibilities

  • Process incoming patient payments by debit and credit card, HSA, and check, and post them to the correct patient accounts.
  • Prepare AR and other financial reports, and track payments to keep AR management and patient and accounting records accurate.
  • Monitor reports to identify overdue accounts, and provide updates on collection status and outstanding balances.
  • Update and maintain patient accounts with accurate balance information, and support collection efforts.
  • Stay current on changing insurance regulations, billing requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to improve billing efficiency and accuracy.
  • Protect patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA at all times.
  • Take on other duties as assigned.
