About The Position

The Accounts Receivable Specialist supports daily billing and accounts receivable activities under supervision. This entry level role assists with pharmacy and insurance billing, documentation, and reporting while delivering timely, accurate customer service and supporting compliance with standard processes. This position is a hybrid role and requires onsite work two (2) days per week.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED required.
No prior experience required.

Nice To Haves

Associate's degree or higher
At least one (1) year of Accounts Receivable or related experience
Experience with denial management and insurance follow‑up activities
Familiarity with Workday and EPIC systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
Prior experience working in a hospital, clinic, or healthcare setting
Experience with commercial payors and Medicaid billing processes
Strong attention to detail and time‑management skills
Clear verbal and written communication skills
Customer‑focused mindset with basic problem‑solving abilities
Willingness to learn and adapt in a team‑oriented environment

Responsibilities

Under supervision, perform basic tasks related to billing (e.g., Pharmacy billing, Insurance billing), in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Assist with the maintenance of all policies, systems, methods, and procedures for the effective management of the billing functions.
Support documentation and creation of standard reports within own area.
Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.
