About The Position

AWC Indeed is seeking a high performing Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team in Houston, Texas. This role is ideal for a results driven professional with a strong background in collections and accounts receivable who thrives in a fast paced environment. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for managing receivables, driving timely collections, and maintaining financial accuracy. Experience with NetSuite is required.

Requirements

• 2 plus years of experience in accounts receivable or collections
• Proven success improving collection rates and reducing DSO
• Proficiency with NetSuite required
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proficient in Excel and reporting tools
• Self motivated with a collaborative mindset

Nice To Haves

• College degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage the accounts receivable portfolio and drive timely collections
• Contact customers to resolve outstanding invoices and payment issues
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and customer disputes
• Maintain accurate records of collection activities and customer communications
• Generate, review, and analyze aging reports using NetSuite
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues impacting collections
• Recommend accounts for escalation or write off when appropriate
• Support month end close processes related to accounts receivable
• Contribute to improving collection strategies, processes, and workflows
• Provide regular reporting to management on collection status and risk exposure
