About The Position

We are looking for a customer-focused and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Customer Service Specialist to join our team. In this full-time, in-office role, you'll support customers with billing and payment questions, process payments, maintain account information, and work closely with internal teams to ensure a positive customer experience. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys helping customers, is highly organized, and wants to grow their career in accounting and finance. While previous accounting experience is helpful, we provide training on the accounts receivable processes.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of customer service, administrative, collections, banking, call center, or related experience preferred
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple tasks
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams
  • Willingness to learn accounting and accounts receivable processes through on-the-job training
  • Ability to remain seated and work at a computer for extended periods
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 10 lbs. as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Previous accounting experience is helpful

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service while assisting customers with billing, payment, and account-related questions
  • Process and apply customer payments received by check, credit card, ACH, and other payment methods
  • Maintain accurate customer account records and documentation
  • Communicate with customers regarding payment updates, declined payments, account changes, and past-due balances
  • Review customer information to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Assist with sending account statements and collection notices when needed
  • Support financing account administration, including entering customer information and posting payments
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments to resolve customer concerns and payment issues
  • Complete assigned tasks and communicate effectively through Microsoft Teams
  • Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment
  • Assist with additional projects and administrative tasks as assigned
