About The Position

The Cincinnati Insurance Companies is seeking customer service representatives for the Corporate Accounts Receivable department. This role will provide courteous, professional, and technical phone support for customers, assisting them with payments, online accounts, and online bill pay. The position involves troubleshooting basic hardware and software issues, documenting interactions, and meeting performance targets. Associates will work with billing for Commercial Lines, Personal Lines, and Life Insurance, advise on account information, and direct calls as needed. The role also includes administrative functions and collaborating with team members to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient in Windows operating systems
  • Aptitude for technology and working knowledge of PCs and networks
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft® Office products such as Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Attitude for excellence in customer service
  • The ability to analyze and solve problems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Two or more years of prior call center customer service experience
  • Prior help desk experience

Responsibilities

  • Answering incoming calls to provide customers with assistance in making payments
  • Using incident and problem management system to document, track, update, and close case activities
  • Providing customers with technical assistance and guidance to prevent recurring problems with their online accounts and online bill pay
  • Performing basic hardware and software troubleshooting to resolve or escalate incidents
  • Providing management with status reports
  • Making outbound calls to follow up with customers or incidents
  • Resolving customer issues promptly, efficiently, and in the first call when possible
  • Maintaining accurate and professionally written records of customer interactions and transactions
  • Meeting performance targets such as call handling time, customer satisfaction, and calls per day
  • Following and supporting internal and external audit compliance
  • Working with Commercial Lines, Personal Lines and Life Insurance billing
  • Advising basic account information and payment status to callers
  • Directing calls to the appropriate department when assistance is needed
  • Improving and developing technical support skills through outside education
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure a seamless customer experience
  • Performing other administrative functions within the team to accomplish team goals
