About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Associate to support a landscape architect. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing billing, invoicing, and collections processes, and will occasionally assist the Accounts Payable (AP) team as needed. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records.

Requirements

  • 2-3+ years of proven experience in accounts receivable, billing, invoicing, and collections.
  • Familiarity with accounting software and financial management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting or finance is a plus.
  • Experience with Sage 100 ERP is beneficial but not required.
  • Willingness to assist with AP when needed and willingness to be trained on this.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and send out invoices to clients in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of payments.
  • Follow up with clients on overdue accounts and resolve any billing discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records of all billing, invoicing, and collections activities.
  • Assist the Accounts Payable team with processing payments and managing vendor relationships as needed.
  • Collaborate with the landscape architect team to ensure accurate project billing and financial reporting.
  • Provide regular updates on accounts receivable status to management.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
