Requirements

Associate Degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent experience
Prior experience in accounts receivable, billing, or collections
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality with sensitive information
Ability to work with a high level of autonomy and take initiative
Exceptional attention to detail
Effective and professional written and verbal communication skills
Must be tenacious and personable, with excellent customer-service skills

Responsibilities

Researching credit applications and updating customer accounts
Preparing and sending monthly account statements and past due reminders to customers
Responding to sales tax related questions
Conducting credit investigations for new credit and finance applications
Completing credit reference requests
Researching and resolving payment discrepancies
Reconciling customer disputes and short or skipped payments
Participating in weekly meetings with management on progress and status of open issues
Performing other related duties as assigned
