About The Position

The Accounts Receivable Associate II position plays an important role in the financial stability of Acme Tools. This position is responsible for researching invoicing errors on Cash and Charge accounts while working with management and IT to develop solutions, researching credit applications, updating accounts, and collections. The role also involves responding to sales tax related questions, conducting credit investigations for new credit and finance applications, researching and resolving payment discrepancies, and reconciling customer disputes, short, or skipped payments. The Associate will attend weekly meetings with management on progress and status of open issues and perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Associate’s degree in accounting, related field OR equivalent experience
3+ years of experience in AR, billing, collections, or a similar accounting support role
Intermediate Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, sorting and filtering, and basic formulas
Ability to keep a high degree of confidentiality of information
Ability to work with a high level of autonomy and take initiative
Exceptional attention to detail
Effective and professional written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of sales tax or exemption certificate management
Prompt and reliable attendance

Responsibilities
